Design

Paper Wireframe

Next, I sketched out paper wire frames for each screen in my app, keeping the user pain points about navigation, browsing, and checkout flow in mind. The home screen paper wire frame variations to the right focus on optimizing the browsing experience for users.

Digital Wire Frame.

Moving from paper to digital wireframes made it easy to understand how the redesign could help address user pain points and improve the user experience.
Prioritizing useful button locations and visual element placement on the home page was a key part of my strategy

Digital Wire frame Screen Size Variation
Low Fidelity Prototype

To create a low-fidelity prototype, I connected all of the screens involved in the primary user flow of checking currency exchange rate and conversion calculations.

Usability test

These were the main findings uncovered by the usability study:

Redefining the Design

Mock Ups

Based on the insights from the usability study, I made changes to improve the live exchange rate  between the selected currency.I made the selected currency by the user to be the head currency and not the default currency and I removed the inverse button.. This will eliminate any confusion the users may have as not everyone understands the rates when inverted and this allows them make direct check between any currencies of their choice.

I changed the write up on the hero section to align with what the travels really need which is to travel smart, by budgeting effectively to save money. I also added the search button that will allow the users to just type the currencies the want to check the exchange rates between them and have them automatically shown to them.

I included considerations for additional screen sizes in my mockups based on my earlier wireframes. Because users surf the internet from a variety of devices, I felt it was important to optimize the browsing experience for a range of device sizes, such as mobile so users have the smoothest experience possible.
