Patients' Records
Imagine a busy doctor juggling patient records, appointment schedules, and medical histories—all while providing top-notch care. The Patient Records App steps in to make life easier. Designed with healthcare professionals in mind, it lets doctors and nurses effortlessly document, store, and access patient information with just a few taps. From managing records to scheduling appointments, it brings everything they need into one simple, efficient tool.
Overview
In primary care settings, doctors and nurses often need a convenient and efficient solution for managing patient information. Given the dynamic nature of their work, it's crucial to have a system that allows them to document, store, and access their patients' data swiftly, regardless of the circumstances at any given moment.
- Reduce stress for healthcare workers by eliminating the hassle of tracking down paper documents, especially during emergencies.
- Deliver a solution that grants instant access to critical patient information—anytime, anywhere.
- Ensure that essential patient data is always at their fingertips, regardless of location or circumstances.
- Streamline information retrieval, allowing healthcare professionals to spend more time on patient care, not paperwork.
Research
User Research:Summary
A primary research method was carried out using the interview method to collect data and observe the participants to better understand them and their pain points. Previously I had thought that health workers especially those in the primary care offices limit their jobs only to their offices, but after the research, I understand how much of a part of their lives their jobs are which is quite amazing.

Design
Ideation
A competitive audit was conducted on our direct and indirect competitors, and a report was generated. Additionally, rapid sketching was performed.

SKETCHES
Through rigorous iteration of each app screen, we ensured that only the essential elements made it to the final wireframe. These elements are specifically designed to effortlessly provide users with current currency exchange rates and facilitate easy calculations with their specified amounts.

Digital Wireframe
My design was done based on the feedbacks from the users pain point of view

Low Fidelity Prototype
The User flow for this prototype starting from home page users can browse through or use the search bar to look for a patient's’ profile, navigate to the patient's medical history and also add new patients or update the information of an already existing profile. From the homepage also users check assigned appointments or make new ones. Please check out the prototype here

Usability Test Findings
These were the main findings uncovered by the usability study:

Redefining the Designs
MOCK UPS
The second usability study shows that users want a better cue to able to view more about the patient and to know when the patients profile was created so i added the that and a better new patients button to help users navigate to see more about the patient.

IMPACT
The idea of creating an app to help health workers made my participants really happy to know that someone is think of ways to make their jobs easier.
WHAT I LEARNED
How important carrying users along although the design process can increase the usability of the design when it becomes functional
